MBCA Scholarship Foundation & Outstanding
Teacher/Professor Recognition Awards Luncheon

The Metropolitan Business & Citizens Association
(MBCA) will hold its 7th Annual Scholarship
Foundation Awards Luncheon on Thursday, April
10th, 12 Noon, in the Imperial Ballroom
at Trump Plaza Hotel/Casino. The MBCA
Education Foundation will present Student
Scholarships for students planning to continue
their studies at an accredited higher education
institution. This year’s Keynote Speaker and
Outstanding Educator Award recipient is Dr.
Philip Guenther, Superintendent of Atlantic
County Institute of Technology.
MBCA Scholarships will be awarded in the
amount of $1,500.
Criteria included that the individual be a
resident of the greater Atlantic City region for
at least two years; and be accepted or returning
to an accredited higher education institution
and working towards a degree or certification.
MBCA also recognizes an area educator for their
outstanding contributions to education - the
Outstanding Teacher Recognition Award. The grant
is for the purpose of obtaining supplies,
equipment or purchasing student incentives
related to his/her teaching. This award goes to
an individual who is making a difference in the
development of his/her students by being a
positive role model, demonstrating
resourcefulness, and utilizing innovating
teaching techniques.
The MBCA Scholarship Luncheon is proudly

Director of Carnegie Library and Mr. Richard
Santoro, V.P. Trump Entertainment who also will
serve as Master of Ceremonies

MBCA is comprised of businesses and individuals,
organized to promote a healthy business and
living climate within the Greater Atlantic City
region.
MBCA functions to improve the quality of life
for the citizens living in and the businesses
