Join us for an evening of art, culture and cuisine at our Annual Gala Event Twilight in Tuscany. Enjoy Tuscan cuisine, wine sampling, music, silent auction and live artist demonstrations.

Let Weiland's art take you away to Tuscany. Paintings of breathtaking scenery decorate the museum for the evening. His travels have taken him from the hill towns and wineries to the museums and castles, discovering the region's best food and wine all the while.

Artists' Talk with Michelle Post
Wednesday, July 21: 11 a.m. - 12 p.m.
Regular Admission, Members & Stockton Students Free
Michelle Post co-curator and artist featured in The Highwater Sculpture Invitational exhibition, will give a tour of the exhibition and talk about the artists' work. This exciting exhibition includes a wide variety of unconventional 3-dimensional work and celebrates the impressive creative forces in the sculpture world of the mid-Atlantic region.

Watercolor Workshop with Marie Natale

Take your landscapes to a new level and explore your inner artist. Marie will show you a fearless method of using the vibrancy of color, and understanding the importance of color

theory and value contrasts. Be amazed at the fresh, clean, luminous results when using proper brush technique and the direct painting method. Capture the serene beauty of Lily

Lake working on museum grounds, learning how to handle lush green foliage, and the basics of landscape composition.  Use" triads" to change mood, atmosphere, or capture the late summer season. For those wishing to paint in the cool, air-conditioned interior, the museum provides many outdoor venues from its glass windows and a new elevated deck facing Lily Lake. Marie is known for her friendly teaching style, making classes both fun and informative.

Fun with clay! Each week make a new project using a new technique. Working with air-dry clay, you may either take it with you right away or it can be picked up in a week.

 

Creative Sparks: Op Art Illusions

Saturday, August 7: 1 - 2 p.m.
Ages 6-12, $4 Child, $4 Adult - includes materials (Reg. by 8/5/10)

Based on the Illusions exhibition, make amazing op art designs to dazzle and confound the eyes. Fun hands-on creative arts class for kids. Families welcome.

 

 

 

 The Noyes Museum of Art was founded in 1983 to collect, preserve and exhibit American fine art, crafts and folk art. An emphasis is on New Jersey artists and folk art forms, reflecting the area's long history, traditions, landscape and culture. General funding for is provided by the New Jersey State Council on the Arts/Department of State, a state partner of the National Endowment for the Arts; the Mr. and Mrs. Fred Winslow Noyes Foundation; the Richard Stockton College of New Jersey; the Geraldine R. Dodge Foundation; the Odessa F. and Henry D. Kahrs Charitable Trust. Open Tuesday through Saturday 10:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Sunday noon to 5:00 p.m., The Museum is located one and a half miles south of Historic Smithville Village, off Route 9, on Lily Lake Road in Oceanville, New Jersey.
